As I re-entered Paine Hall for my spring semester of freshman year, butterflies swarm my tummy because of the anticipation of meeting my new roommate, Stanisha. It may seem childish, but I mean... I have to live with this girl so if we didn't get along that would be more than tragic. I realize once I open my door that I've beat her here, which is definitely a delight so that I can get settled in and relax. She never showed up that night...
Finally, I receive an email from her informing me that she was sorry for not telling me that she's coming tomorrow (which would be Monday).
Monday: no roommate
It is now Tuesday and almost 10:00 p.m. and I'm still roommateless. I'm not exactly complaining. It's actually quite peaceful. However, the bare white concrete-block walls and blue mattress gives the feel of an insane asylum.
On a different note, I'm delighted to be back on campus and back to studying hard...gotta hurry and get out of here so that I can be the woman version of Dr. Peacock-intellectual, stylish and young! I'm actually thinking of double-majoring. Perhaps I will add philosophy...
Friends make it easier to cope with the hecticness of college! I love my Mandypoo and Shanalou very much! And Tarynsue when she visits!!
I miss all of my Vilonia girls already and I'm ready to get my visit on!
